Basics of Permaculture From The Free School

Duane Marcus, organic farmer for 30 years, gave a presentation at the Truely Living Well gardens on urban gardening organised by The Free School program. The program is a popular initiative amongst Atlanta activists giving primordial importance to self-sufficiency and independance from the currency system. From Duane, we learned about the importance of nutrients for the soil and how good nutrients make better food; how to prepare and maintain fertile soil; protection against parasites in the soil; and when to plant and harvest.
